Cupcake Bites

It's my daughter's third Birthday today and she picked these cute cupcake bites for her special treat...

They are a complete copy of Bakerella's. LOVE her blog :)

and I had a few that wouldn't fit into my container so I packaged them up. I plan to share with somebody sweet!
It won't be long now for the BIG 2S4Y contest!! Getting excited?!
Have a great day!

Sketch This #86~Tribute to my brother and my Dad!

I adore these new 'boy' papers from Cosmo Cricket!! I made two cards this week following sketch 86:

This one I sent to my brother for his Birthday...he loves cars. In fact, one of his hobbies is rendering concept car models....not sure if I stated that exactly right.... You can check out his work here if you are interested. I am well aware that I may be a bit biased, but He ROCKS!!

and I made this one for my Dad for Father's Day...shhhh! He loves planes...he is a pilot and his favorite hobby has always been 'poking holes in clouds'. :) Anyway, everything about that image and even the 'howdy' sentiment completely reminds me of my awesome Daddy!! So fun.

Supplies for both cards: Cosmo Cricket PP, May Arts ribbon, WRMK grommets, AC and Melissa Frances Rub ons.
It's my son's Birthday today so we are headed into an evening and a whole weekend of fun!! Looking forward to all of it. Hope you have a great long weekend too!
Hugs,
Katie

hello girls!

have you heard the BIG 2S4Y news?! Laura and Kazan are hosting what's sure to be a fabulous 5 week cardmaking challenge! How fun does that sound?! It all starts on June 1st so mark your calendars :) To read more about it, and to see the BIG prize, head over to 2S4Y!

I made this quick little card yesterday with some scraps I had laying around. When I saw the scalloped paper, I was inspired to use Kazan's sketch 26 again from last week :)
Supplies: American Crafts PP, Crate Paper rub on and Melissa Frances buttons.
I'll be back again tomorrow with my card for Sketch This! See you then.

Cricut!!

It was my Birthday recently and my awesome hubby (and kids) got me a cricut!! I am so excited and a little overwhelmed with all of the possibilities. It is so fun, though, I love it!! So, here is my first card using the Don Juan cartridge...I created the window card base with the cricut:

Super simple!

Supplies: AC PP and stickers, May Arts ribbon.

And, here are a few mini cards I made using the same supplies and also the cricut: thanks cut~also from the Don Juan cart (the only one I have right now).

(these three mini cards will be in the upcoming October CARDS publication).

Well, that's it for me...just a few minutes till my oldest will get home from school, so I'd better get ready for him :)

Thanks for stopping by!

One month later...

I can't believe it's been almost a month since I've posted anything! SO busy this time of year!! If anyone is still checking on me, thanks! We've had Birthdays, T-ball, and most recently a fun event for my daughter...her first "ball" (pictures are down at the end of this post). Lots of fun times for sure, but I've been slacking in the creative department ;)

A couple of weeks ago, I missed the deadline for getting my Sketch This card into Janelle. But I loved the sketch so I made this one anyway...
based on Sketch This #84

Supplies: Scenic Route PP and stickers, AC sticker letters

And this is my Sketch This card for sketch #85. Janelle just posted this newest sketch today~along with all of the fun samples :)
Supplies: Little Yellow Bicycle PP, Daisy Bucket Designs Rub on sentiment, Fancy Pants pin and Offray ribbon.

and here is my little princess and her prince charming :)

ahh, these pictures make me so happy!
This one was taken by my very talented friend Shannon of Defining Details!

I had a great surprise this morning when I saw that a card I made for my Mom is being featured on the Cards blog!! How fun!
Take care my friends! See ya in another month ;)
