Embracing my girly-ness!

Last night I went to see this with one of my friends:
Have you seen it? It is completely adorable and the such a gorgeous location/set!! I love that scene where Meryl Streep is walking in between the towels that are hanging out to dry...the colors are just GORGEOUS! After I got home, I made these two cards...inspired by the colors in this chick are the girly cards I came up with:
Hey Ladies, {Time To} Party! Based on Laura's sketch from 2S4Y.
And a super quick B-day card based on the CPS sketch for this week. I usually don't make cards that look this similar, but I just loved these papers together so much that I had to use the combo twice :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

a few of my favorite things...

First up is my card for Janelle's sketch #60 over at Sketch This! I had so much fun with this sketch! I also used my new favorite line of Daisy Bucket Designs paper: In the Meadow. My favorite color combo!!

and next are the cards I made for the DT call over at 2S4Y . This first one was for Kazan's sketch...used another of my favorites here....Webster's Pages....mmm, yummy!
And this little number was for Laura's favorite here?....Ice cream! I am a total ice-cream-aholic! Love it in any shape or form!!
I didn't make the DT, BTW, but it was fun to give it a shot! WOW, the girls that did...amazing!!

Happy Wednesday!

The stillness of naptime... here. Ahhh. :) All three of my kids are asleep (swimming really wears them out!) so here I am again with a couple more cards!

Once again, I played along with a challenge from the fabulous Melissa Phillips. Here is her sketch, and my card...

something about ovals makes me think elegant...when I saw the oval on Melissa's sketch, I knew that that's what I wanted to go for. If you want to do Melissa's sketch challenge, you have to hurry! It ends tomorrow!

This next card is for Kazan's sketch at the 2 Sketches 4 you site:

I just love this fun new card blog! It's so exciting to see how many people are playing along! And the talent is amazing! So, did you try out for the DT?? I did! Can't wait to see who they will pick!

CS: SU, CS lace: KI, PP: Melissa Frances, Stamps: Rhonna Farrer (Autumn Leaves), unknown jewels and ribbon.

Lastly, just wanted to let you know that Daisy Bucket Designs is now accepting applications for guest designers. For all of the details on how to apply, look here. Have fun and good luck!

...with a cherry on top.

Janelle's newest sketch is up over at Sketch This! I always love what all of the girls come up with! Tuesdays are so fun :)
I wanted to use my new Martha Stewart goodies again...the tag and the felt flower...and I just couldn't stop at one card....
So I did another.

Time to get going and get the kids ready for swimming lessons and a few errands. I hope you enjoy your day!

We are family...get up everybody and sing...

This card is for Laura's newest sketch at the 2 sketches 4 you blog. SO fun!! I used: Around the block music note paper so I wanted my sentiment to be the title of a I can't get that song out of my head!! I also used a Martha Stewart tag. I almost started clapping/cheering in Walmart when I saw that Martha now has goodies there....the closest Michael's store is 45 min away so I was beside myself, to say the least :) Here's my familial inspiration :) My adorable cutie-patootie niece (third from the left) is visiting. (The other three are mine). Sydney's been with us since Sunday and she will be going home this weekend. We are really going to miss her next week!!

Happy Friday, y'all!

Lovin' thinkin' about snow!

I don't have much to share, it's been crazy around here...swimming lessons and a cousin visiting (so now I have 4 tag alongs instead of three ;) ). But I did want to post this card that I made for the Sketch This blog. What a fun sketch by Janelle and if you haven't already been over there, there are some absolutely gorgeous LO's and cards by the team! Well, that's it! Enjoy the rest of the week!

Peace. (on earth)

pun intended, people.

I've been thinking...

about starting up this little blog to share all of my cards for a while now. Finally took the plunge.

For me, making cards, scrapbook pages, or even something from my kitchen is very relaxing...I just love the whole process. From being inspired, to creating a huge mess in my scrapping corner (or my kitchen), and then being able to share the final product with someone! It's so rewarding and fun!

I hope you enjoy checking in here as much as I love visiting so many of your blogs!

I made this card for Kazan's sketch of the week over at the 2 Sketches 4 you blog. That's it for my first post! :)

Oh, and about my blog title: It's a combination of a couple of my nicknames. My Dad used to call me Raspberry Donut when I was a little (Strawberry Shortcake loving) girl. And Kate is short for Katie, of course!
