...I really didn't make myself a card ;) I made this one for a dear friend of mine whose Birthday was Wednesday. It's kind of funny, the connection we have with people that have our name, isn't it? There is something special (at least to me) about sharing a name with someone....maybe it would be different if there were more people with my name, but I have only known a handful of Katie's in my life.

Happy Birthday Katie

Supplies: Pink Paisley and Making Memories PP, Jenni Bowlin card, Studio Calico stamp, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, American Crafts brads and glitter Thickers and Creative Imaginations trim.

I absolutely LOVED making this card with Janelle's sketch #98 for Sketch This! If you haven't already done so, please go check out all of the other designer's work won't be disappointed!!

I am so excited to be heading out of town with some girls from my church for our ladies retreat in just a few hours! yay :) Hope you all have a great weekend and thank you for stopping by!

More thoughts of Summer

I saw the CPS sketch last night and decided to make a card. What I was planning on making and what I actually ended up with were two completely different cards altogether. I was originally going to make a heart card, but as you can see, I switched gears and ended up making another Summery card :) Maybe I will decide to make a heart card too with this sketch...we'll see.

Supplies: American Crafts cardstock, Shabby Green Door PP, baker's twine and cardstock sticker, May Arts ribbon and Martha Stewart sticker.

Have a great Tuesday, friends! Enjoy making all those Valentines :)

Sunshine on my mind

I can tell it's February because I am starting to look forward to warmer days! Last night I created these two cards with sunnier days in mind. I used Kazan's sketch for 2S4Y for this first one:

Supplies: My Mind's Eye PP, Stampin' Up Kraft paper, American Crafts CS and rub ons, May Arts ribbon and Maya Road chipboard flower.
And, this one is based on the CPS sketch for this week:

Supplies: My Mind's Eye PP, American Crafts CS and thicker chipboard letters, Martha Stewart tag and May Arts ribbon.
Well, that's it for me today! Enjoy your weekend :) I am soo looking forward to sleeping in a bit tomorrow!!

i {heart} valentine's day

There is just something special about valentine's day.... It's the one holiday that makes me wish I was in 2nd grade again! I always loved sharing cards with my friends, decorating a mailbox to hold all of my special notes, and, of course, the candy!! This card, that I created for Sketch This, is one I would've loved when I was 8 ;)

I {heart} you

Supplies: Bazzill polka dot cardstock, Scenic Route PP and chipboard sentiment, red velvet ribbon and button are from my stash.
