Sketch This #76 and two {bonus} cards

I am so excited to be back designing for the 2009 Sketch This DT!! The very first sketch of the year is up now...if you haven't already seen it, make sure to check it out. Janelle never disappoints with creative sketches and all of the designers are amazing! I hope you will play along!

Here is my take on Sketch This #76.
Supplies: Webster's Pages and American Crafts Papers, American Crafts ribbons and Cavallino and Co. cardstock stickers.

These next two Birthday cards I made using bonus sketches from a couple of my fellow Winter 2S4Y designers!

This one, if of course, based on Rae's super cute sketch!

and this one is from Peet's bonus sketch. I loved this sketch so much but never had time to make a card with it until now.
Supplies: Scenic Route papers, chipboard, die cuts and sticker letters; Offray ribbon; and Martha Stewart gem stickers.
Thanks girls for the FUN sketches!
Hugs!

Monsters and a tag.

Happy Weekend! I haven't been the best blogger lately but my friend Kazan tagged me recently so I decided to play along....more on that further down in the post. But first, I want to share a couple of projects that I made for the Daisy Bucket Designs CHA booth....first, these cards are made with the new My Little Monsters line.

This next project is another one for Daisy Bucket Designs. I made this using one of their new small chipboard banners and the scrumptious papers from the Loves Me, Loves Me Not line. For more info on the new chipboard, check out the DBD blog.

Okay, and for the tag game, here were the rules:

1. Go to your Picture Folder on your computer or wherever you store your pictures.
2. Pick the 6th Folder, then select the the 6th picture in that folder.
3. Post that picture on your blog and the story that goes along with the picture.
4. Tag 6 other people that you know or don’t know to do the same thing and leave a comment on their blog or an e-mail letting them know you chose them.

Here's my picture. Wow. NOT the greatest (I am not a photographer) but it sure does make my heart glad :) On this day, which happened to be the Fourth of July, 2007, we went to the pool. I took this quick picture of my kids right before we left. Oh man, looking at my little bear (Claire) makes me realize (again) how quickly time goes by! Just for reference here is a recent picture of my baby:

This was at the beach last weekend. Of course my boys are much bigger now too, but there is something weird about watching your baby turn into...well, not a baby!

Alright, well now it's time to tag 6 people but I don't think I will this time. So, if you are reading this and would like to play along with this fun game...than consider yourself tagged. Please let me know if you play along so I can see your picture :)

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. I appreciate all of you and your comments so much!

Hugs!

Scor It card

Well, isn't this a fun new product?! I received this sheet of cardstock from Laura and Kazan to make my card for the 2 Sketches 4 You blog. It is designed by Teresa Collins for Scor It. All included on one piece of 12x12 paper is a card, an envelope and even an extra little strip of patterned paper (that I incorporated into the inside of my card).

I whipped out my scor it, and following Kazan's sketch....

.....this is what I came up with.

One anniversary card finished....inside and out.

Supplies: Scor It card template, American Crafts chipboard, thickers and cardstock, Dept 56 ribbon.
I loved working with this new product. I will definitely be on the lookout for more :) Thanks again to my 2S4Y buddies and to Scor It, our awesome sponsor!!
Well, I hope that you are applying to be on the next 2S4Y DT! It has been such a fun experience for me and I know that you will love it too :) Can't wait to see who the lucky girls will be!
Have a great Monday.
Hugs!

Caardvarks and Cocoa

TGIF girls! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend planned :) Tonight I'm going to go watch Bride Wars with a friend....it looks hilarious!

Caardvarks has a new challenge (and an awesome prize too!!) so I just had to play along. I always love Becky's sketches and the DT over at Caardvarks is so fabulous...check out their gorgeous cards here.

This is my take....I have used these Cosmo Cricket papers again and again and sadly they are almost gone :(

Supplies: Cosmo Cricket PP, Daisy Bucket Designs stamp, WRMK flower.

Lastly I'll leave you with this project that is posted on the Daisy Bucket blog right now. I made these little cocoa cones to give away to friends this year. For more info on how I made these, look here.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for all of your sweet comments :) Have a great weekend!

New love :)

This morning it is back to reality and our routine. Yep, school is back in session. Even though it is a little hard for me to watch my little man go back, he really does love school and I hope that lasts for a loong time :) We had such a nice Christmas break...I hope you were all able to enjoy the holidays too. There is something amazing about the Christmas spirit, isn't there? I have always loved to see it in people's eyes....to know they are feeling loved and they want to share that feeling too.

Well today I am jumping right ahead to the next big holiday.....Valentine's Day. Here is Kazan's newest sketch that was posted this morning over at 2 Sketches 4 You:

....and my take. I really had fun with this one. A gorgeous sketch and some adorable new papers from Daisy Bucket Designs.
I just love this new collection. Such fun papers: full of hearts, flowers and a super yummy plaid. And the color combo is awesome: red, pink and chocolate.
Well, I can't wait to see what many of you will do with this sketch. Thanks for visiting my blog and for all of your comments....I LOVE getting them.
Hugs!
