We are....

party poopers :( So bummed...tomorrow my youngest two kiddos and I were going to go to a fun Halloween party at a friend's...well, now I am sick and so is my son. We both feel pretty good but we are contagious. So, we will be staying home and having our own little party instead of sharing our germs in the apple bobbing contest.

So, I will be going to bed early tonight. But before I do, I wanted to share a couple of cards....

this one is based on Kazan's sketch over at 2S4Y. I struggled a bit at first, but once I decided to use this new Daisy Bucket Designs tri-folding card, things just seemed to fall into place.

This is (obviously) the front view.

Lift the flap....
Inside view.

Card Elements, PP, and rub-ons: Daisy Bucket Designs; CS: Petersen-Arne; Ribbon: Offray.

And here is my card for the Sketch This blog! I just had to use that adorable bird paper....love her little bow :)

CS: Petersen-Arne; PP: Cosmo Cricket; Scenic Route and WRMK; Rub-ons, sticker letters and ribbon are all AC.
Have a great Halloween tomorrow! Stay safe and HEALTHY!!

Is it too early to be getting excited for Christmas?

This morning my 4 y/o son started humming Jingle Bells...and just like that, I am getting in the mood for Christmas! This time of year has to be my favorite, but much of that is because I love the anticipation of the holidays :) Our trees are so gorgeous right now, but I know it will only be a matter of days until all of their leaves have fallen and they may even have some snow! Until then, I am looking forward to getting my hands on this new Merry Wishes line of Daisy Bucket Designs papers!
kind of makes you want a peppermint mocha, huh? :)

Okay, I have a couple of cards I want to share. First, here is Janelle's newest sketch over at Sketch This:

and my take on it: (you can never have too many anniversary cards) :)
Supplies: AC patterned paper, brad, ribbon and rub on. CTMH and Prism CS, Prima flower.
If you haven't already been over there to check out all of the ideas from the other designers, you should go peek! There are always so many fabulous creations!

And last, here is Laura's sketch 11 over at 2S4Y:
I decided to make an Easter card:
Supplies: Petersen Arne CS, Collage Press PP, SU stamps, AC ribbon.
I really wish I had one of those Nami pop up cards to play with! All of the designers made such stunning cards with them this week...so fun!
Well, that's it for me. Enjoy your day!

Spooky and Sweet....

It's that time of year! This past weekend, we went and bought the kids their costumes and some of my favorite....candy corn! Yum-oh! So, even though I am not a huge fan of Halloween, I am getting in the spirit. I decided that a Halloween card was in order so this is what I came up with for Sketch This....
okay, so it's not THAT spooky....but that's as spooky as I get :)

And, here is the sweet one. It is based on Kazan's sketch at 2S4Y. I've been wanting to use the little wagon chipboard piece from BG for a while and thought it was perfect for this Birthday card for a little boy.
Thanks for stopping by and for your sweet comments...they always make me smile!

I've been busy....

....not creating, just living. I was gone these past two weekends and it seems like I've been trying to catch up ever since. I'm so glad it's almost another weekend! By next Monday, I should be back in to the swing of things.

I'm sure you've seen Janelle's latest sketch over at Sketch This, but if not, here it is:

Here is my take on the sketch.
Supplies: PP and Cardstock sticker: Little Yellow Bicycle, Chipboard letters and rub on: AC, Clip stars: Creative Impressions, Chipboard star: Magistical Memories, Ribbon: Wright's and Cardstock: Petersen Arne.

Here's another one kind of based on the sketch...
Supplies: Airplane tag: Every Jot and Tittle (Etsy), Ribbon and airmail sticker: Martha Stewart, Eyelets: We R Memory Keepers, Velvet letters: AC and unknown ric rac.

Well, now that I've posted these, I'm getting in the mood to create. Hopefully I'll have some time this weekend!
Have a great Friday!
