No...

...I really didn't make myself a card ;) I made this one for a dear friend of mine whose Birthday was Wednesday. It's kind of funny, the connection we have with people that have our name, isn't it? There is something special (at least to me) about sharing a name with someone....maybe it would be different if there were more people with my name, but I have only known a handful of Katie's in my life.

Happy Birthday Katie

Supplies: Pink Paisley and Making Memories PP, Jenni Bowlin card, Studio Calico stamp, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, American Crafts brads and glitter Thickers and Creative Imaginations trim.

I absolutely LOVED making this card with Janelle's sketch #98 for Sketch This! If you haven't already done so, please go check out all of the other designer's work too....you won't be disappointed!!

I am so excited to be heading out of town with some girls from my church for our ladies retreat in just a few hours! yay :) Hope you all have a great weekend and thank you for stopping by!

More thoughts of Summer

I saw the CPS sketch last night and decided to make a card. What I was planning on making and what I actually ended up with were two completely different cards altogether. I was originally going to make a heart card, but as you can see, I switched gears and ended up making another Summery card :) Maybe I will decide to make a heart card too with this sketch...we'll see.

BBQ

Supplies: American Crafts cardstock, Shabby Green Door PP, baker's twine and cardstock sticker, May Arts ribbon and Martha Stewart sticker.

This card, that I created for Sketch This, is one I would've loved when I was 8 ;)

I {heart} you

Hello!

Wow! It's been for-ever! I can't believe how much I have been slacking when it comes to card making. I didn't do much over the holidays at all....as far as crafting, that is. I hope you all had wonderful holidays! I know I did...and my scale proves it ;) Seriously, though, I am getting back into the swing of things (including my regular workout schedule...haha) and it feels good! :)

Well, I decided I had to make a card yesterday so I decided to play along with the CPS sketch for this week. I used my brand new Hello Kitty Cricut cart. (I LOVE it) and this is what I came up with:

So Precious
Supplies: AC Cardstock, Pink Paisley PP, Creative Impressions twill ribbon, Cosmo Cricket rub on and Hello Kitty Cricut cart.
I am so excited about this new cartridge. Ever since I saw Lea's strawberry card, I have wanted it. I am thrilled with it...such cute images and the card functions are so fun! So, thanks to Lea for the inspiration!
Happy New Year, crafting friends!
